İbrahim Öztop, CEO and Board Member of Development and Investment Bank of Turkey, became the new term Chairperson of Association. Öztop, Vice Chairperson of Association, elected as the Chairperson at the board meeting held on 24 May 2022. At the board meeting of Association, Mustafa Selim Yazıcı was inducted as Vice Chairperson.
İBRAHİM HALİL ÖZTOP
Mr. Öztop was born in Şanlıurfa in 1969. He received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Middle East Technical University, in 1991, and later received his master’s degree in Business Administration from Bilkent University.
Began his professional career as Assistant Manager in Corporate Finance Department at Türkiye Sınai Kalkınma Bankası A.Ş. (TSKB) (1995-1999), Mr. Öztop worked as Project Finance and Investment Banking Manager at Körfezbank (1999-2001), Investment Banking Group Manager at TSKB (2002-2006), Managing Director Osmanlı Yapı Şirketleri (2006-2010) and Executive Vice President in the Corporate Finance Department at Garanti BBVA Securities.
Mr. Öztop was appointed as Chairperson of the Board and CEO at Development and Investment Bank of Turkey in August 2018. Since December 2018, he is the CEO and Board Member of the Bank. In addition, Mr. Öztop is also Board Member of TII (Turkish Investment Initiative) and Member of the Executive Committee of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Turkey (KOSGEB).
Mr. Öztop, was appointed as the Board Member of The Banks Association of Turkey in June 2020. He was assigned as Deputy Chairperson in Turkish Capital Markets Association (TCMA), as of September 2020. Serving as the representative of the TCMA legal entity in the Board of Directors of CSD of Turkey since February 2021, Mr. ÖZTOP was appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of TCMA in May 2022.
